Call for Art: Botanic Garden Three Seasons Gallery
Art Shows in the Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park: Three Seasons Gallery
Spring – mid April through mid-June
Summer – mid June through mid-August
Fall – mid-August to end of October
Thank you for your interest in showing your work at the Botanic Garden. We will enjoy exhibiting your work in our unique space!
Artists please provide a short bio and photo of yourself for advertising on our website and social media.
We can exhibit all two-dimensional work including photography, paintings, drawings, digital, mixed media, fabric art, chalk, ink, pastels, wax, graphite and printmaking. There is room for 30-50 pieces of art, depending on the size of each piece.
Art hanging dates are pre-arranged and are affected by the rental program at the Visitor Center. Art will be on display for approximately nine weeks.
The amount that is commissioned to the Botanic Garden is 40% of the selling price. The gift shop will be set up to handle sales during your show. Artists must provide an inventory sheet including your mailing address, email and phone number. Artists provide their own labels which should include Title, dimensions, price of the artwork and artist’s name. It also helps to include the title on the back of each work of art.
The Visitor Center is equipped with a versatile hanging system with hardware that can easily be changed or moved. We ask that you use this system and that tape not be used on the walls.
Since the Visitor Center is a source of rental income for the Botanic Garden, it is important that you not use standing easels to show art.
Additional cards and prints may be sold during your show. Bins with artwork may be placed on the window wells or on a side table when one is available. When the space is rented, the bins may need to be moved if the renters request it.
Occasionally artists would like to offer an opening reception. Please be sure that this is pre-arranged at the Visitor Center as many dates are booked for rental events. We do not have a permit to serve alcohol at public events. Wine may be served only if you provide a “Certified Pourer”
You will be expected to help advertise your show. We do mostly digital marketing which can be shared.
We wish you a wonderful and profitable show! Thank you for helping us to Grow the Gardens!
