Open until filled. Ideal start date is April 2022

The Visual Arts & Education Manager exists to advance the education and community engagement programs for the RRCA. Key areas of focus are managing the art exhibits, education programs like the workshops/classes and theatre camp, and the volunteer program. This position oversees visual & teaching artists and volunteers.

The candidate should understand how to effectively manage a calendar and the logistics involved with planning visual arts exhibitions, annual education programs, and volunteer coordinating. This employee will also be working with multiple stakeholders to achieve their goals. They need to provide exceptional customer service through quality communication with educators, administrators, artists, parents, students, and other community members via phone, email, or in person interactions. A key to success is also promoting effective, helpful, and positive relations with employee working teams.

On occasion, the employee may need to train volunteers on their roles, which can be a collaborative effort with other team members or volunteers. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the Visual Arts & Education Manager to fill the volunteer positions, ensure the volunteers are properly trained, and that they feel supported and are part of a fun and friendly environment. Similarly, workshops/classes and the theatre camp must have qualified teaching artists to execute the classes. The Visual Arts & Education Manager will ensure that these teaching artists and volunteers meet the mission and vision of the RRCA.
