Old Art Building Series
A happy spring to you!
I wanted to share news of an upcoming show—opening on April Fools Day!I’ve been working quite a bit in my studio over this past year and am excited to share a lot of new monotypes and drawings with you alongside some of my best friends. The show will be online as well as partially in person so there’s lots of ways to check it out.
ROYCE DEANS AND FRIENDS: Art in the Slow Lane April 1 – 24, 2021 Old Art Building, Leland (in person and virtual) With eight straight summer exhibitions at the OAB (and a 4-year hiatus following that), Ann Hall Visiting Artist Royce Deans thought it was time to get the band back together! He contacted the rest of the quartet of Leos: Angela Saxon, Lynn Uhlmann, and Anne Corlett. “We’ve been working so hard in our studios during this pandemic, what do you say we show what we got?”
Cocktails & Conversation: Join Our Kick-off Live Zoom Hour! April 1, 5:30 – 6:30 pm You can email sarah@oldartbuilding.com to sign up for the event and the cocktail recipe!
Join the four artists for this 2021 inaugural show, starting with a virtual opening, complete with a signature cocktail. You can sit back and sip while this exciting foursome strikes up an engaging conversation with each other about art and making it. Of course, they will leave time for some questions and answers before the online version of the exhibition is published. Check out all the work from the comfort of your own home.
Live and Virtual
The show will contain 40 recent works: paintings, drawings, and monotypes – all available for purchase online. And, since things are starting to open up a little bit, there will be 16 pieces from the online show hanging at the OAB for you to see in person. There will also be four studio tours – one from each artist – coming online as the show unfolds.
