Join us for a five-week in-person program offered to curÂrent high school stuÂdents (grades 9 – 12) interÂested in buildÂing new skills for their creÂative purÂsuits. This studio-based program helps you develop a strong creative portfolio and includes opportunities for critique, portfolio reviews, and guidance on documenting and presenting artwork. The course includes ample time and space to develop your own creative work, while also providing lessons in art materials and methods, art history, and professional practices. Students who complete this program will be eligible to participate in an annual showcase at Crooked Tree Arts Center.
This class is taught by Egan Franks Holzhausen, a studio arts instructor and professional teaching-artist who provides individualized instruction to help students reach their goals and create portfolio quality work. Students in 8th grade may be considered for the program (as space allows) with a recommendation from an art teacher, mentor, CTAC faculty, and/or a portfolio.
Cost is $180 for Members and $205 for Non-Members.
