Arts for All Traveling Art Show
Arts for All of Northern Michigan (A4A) is excited to announce they will be having a Traveling Art Show that will be highlighting artwork created by the students that participated in this year’s Art Escapes Program. Our Traveling Art Show will feature amazing creative works of art such as Painted Fish Reliefs, Chinese Brush Paintings, Brook Trout Watercolors, Mixed Media Art Journal, Rainbow Paintings, Clay Sculptures, and 3D Boat Resin Sculptures created from Virtual Reality Painting.
A4A’s Art Escapes Program is part of a collaborative arts education program between A4A and Northwest Education Services (formerly TBAISD) for the last ten years. A4A manages this arts education program, which consists of training and employing local teaching artists to teach all mediums of art in all the special education classrooms throughout Grand Traverse County.
A4A’s Traveling Art Show will run for one week in each county that they serve: Grand Traverse, Benzie, Leelanau, Kalkaska, and Antrim. Each county has a “Host Site” for the Traveling Art Show. The “Host Sites” and dates of the Traveling Art Show are as follows:
Grand Traverse County Host: Traverse Area District Library May 17 through May 22
Kalkaska County Host: Kaliseum Recreation Complex May 24 through May 29
Antrim County Host: Bellaire Public Library May 31 through June 4
Benzie County Host: Oliver Art Center June 7 through June 12
Leelanau County Host: Glen Lake Community Library June 14 through June 19
*A4A’s Traveling Art Show will run during normal library/organization’s hours. Please check for open hours at each location for viewing and enjoyment purposes.
