Join the Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network for a creative trek through Benzie County on this NoMI Arts Tour. We’ll depart from the University Center in Traverse City and head to Frankfort where we’ll visit the latest exhibits at Elizabeth Lane Oliver Art Center located in a former Coast Guard Lighthouse overlooking Lake Michigan. From there, we’ll move on to The Garden Theater for an insider’s look at this historic movie house that is being renovated into a beautiful film and performance venue. Next door, we’ll have lunch at Stormcloud Brewing (for lunch on your own) then walk one block to visit visual artist Peggy Hawley in her studio and gallery. We’ll end the day with a walk amidst the fall colors at Michigan Legacy Art Park, a 30-acre sculpture park with 40 sculptures inspired by Michigan’s history.
