About
The Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network
The Network is the regional arts and cultural service organization serving “Region 2” – the ten counties of Northwest Lower Michigan – Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford. The region is home to more than 150 organizations and 1,500 artists as well as numerous community cultural projects and creative endeavors. Individually and collectively, all contribute to the quality, economy, culture and conversations resonating through our vibrant communities.
The Network serves as a convener, connector and advocate. Our goal is to help arts and culture thrive with services – promotion, tools, training, funding, collaboration – to support the individuals, organizations and ecosystem driving our creative sector.

The mission of the Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network is to harness the collective power of the creative sector to cultivate vibrant communities by strengthening the regional ecosystem that supports arts and culture.
Foundational to our Network culture and the regional ecosystem is our commitment to value diversity, foster equity, and advocate for an accessible and inclusive environment. Our goal is to ensure Network programs and services reflect these values while also advocating for similar policies, practices and resources regionally.
The Network recognizes diversity as the characteristics and attributes that make each of us unique individually or as a group, including but not limited to gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and age, as well as cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, life experiences, skills, thoughts, perspectives, and ideas.
We are committed to removing barriers and to contributing to an inclusionary, accessible environment that welcomes all to engage in the arts, culture and creative experiences throughout the region.
