Teaching Tradition

Our courses teach hands-on skills with a focus on creating a more natural, beautiful, and connected world. They go beyond basics to inspire curiosity, build community, and give students the confidence to keep learning at home. Green Door courses should:

• Create an environment that enables
  connection between participants, not
  simply learning side by side.

• Ensure participants can take the next
  steps in continuing the practice.

• Highlight historical or evolutionary
  practices of the skill and its relevance to
  our region.

• Share the natural origin of the raw
  materials used.

• Inspire discussion around
  opportunities, conflicts, issues, and
  challenges surrounding the practice.

• Speculate on the future of the craft
  or practice.
