Open Position: Production Manager/Facilities Manager at Old Town Playhouse
Job Title: Production Manager
Facilities Manager Job Type: Full Time Exempt
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 1pm-9pm with flexibility during weeks of production opening and or production strike
Reports To: Artistic Director

Job Role Duties:
- This position serves as Production Manager for all Old Town Playhouse programming and special events, working to effectively and efficiently achieve quality productions on-site and off-site throughout the season.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, offering feedback and building connections with all staff members to understand overall production needs.
- Schedule and moderate Production Meetings. o Manage production calendar to ensure no room scheduling conflicts, securing off-site space as needed for rehearsals and/or meetings.
- Oversee technical chairpersons, connecting with them on a regular basis to monitor progress in the production cycle and ensure budget adherence.
- Introduce new techniques and technologies to technical chairs and volunteers that enhance productions; manage implementation and execution.
- Serve as the primary contact for onboarding of new volunteers and serve as a liaison between volunteers, technical chairpersons, and staff.
- Work with technical chairpersons to track volunteer scheduling. Gather and maintain all necessary volunteer waivers and/or working agreements.
- (For Musicals) Work with Music Directors to ensure all paperwork has been collected and properly completed by musicians. o Secure rehearsal pianists for musical productions.
- In the case of off-site events, work directly with the venue to create and manage loadin/load-out and scheduling of OTP volunteers while off-site. Work directly with the Business Manager to ensure all necessary contracts and agreements are executed effectively, and payment is made in a timely manner.
- Work with vendors to secure necessary rentals for productions. o Serve as a contact point for all product/material ordering needs.
- Maintain the function of buildings, furnishings, equipment and operating systems. o Assist with creating a clean and safe environment that welcomes volunteers and patrons.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of custodial supplies, equipment and furnishings. o Adjust HVAC and lighting schedules as needed.
- Manage set-up and tear-down for all events. o Be an advocate for Old Town Playhouse in the community, networking to make connections and build a positive brand for OTP.
- Other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications: o Have base knowledge of all major technical aspects of the theater (audio/visual, lighting design, set building and design, costume design, props design) and be motivated to gain an in-depth understanding of all areas within the first 12 months on the job.
- Have a firm understanding of how to track and manage production budgets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check. Salary and Benefits o $48,000 annual salary, with insurance paid by OTP
