INteriors Exhibit - Call for Art
Exhibition: January 9 – March 12, 2026
Application period: Through November 5, 2025 at 2 pm EST
INteriors is an exploration of inner spaces, both real and imagined, spaces of the home and of the mind.
Some Thoughts
- Interiors are found both in the domestic and metaphysical spheres. What do these interiors look like? What do they contain?
- Who’s living rent free in your head?
- When does an interior need re-designing? Or, the furniture moved around? Why?
- Is your interior a fun house? A house of horrors? A hoarder’s paradise? Is your interior pristine? Do you leave your shoes at the door upon entering?
- How do the objects in the interior reflect what’s in the occupant’s mind? How does what’s in the occupant’s mind shape the interior space?
- Bringing the outside in is a component of interior design. It roots/references the surrounding landscape in the interior. Is this component an abstraction? Or, a touch stone? Or, a way to avoid actually being outdoors? What does this look like?
Looking For
- Visual art in 2D + 3D, made by the applicant between 2023 – 2025.
- Innovative, fresh responses that move beyond the easiest answer.
Open To
2D and 3D work including paper, clay, fiber, metal, wood, glass, drawing, painting, printmaking, furniture, mixed media, photography, weaving, sculpture, stitchery, and more.
Size Restrictions
- 2D work should not exceed 48” in total width or 65” in total length.
- 3D work must be freestanding and easily moved, not to exceed 35 pounds. Because of companion programs planned in conjunction with the exhibition, 3D work will be occasionally and temporarily relocated in the gallery and in the GAAC.
Application Fee
Applicants may enter up to two [2] submissions for the juror’s consideration. $25 GAAC member, $35 nonmember. This is a nonrefundable fee.

- Drop-off: Friday, January 2, 10 am – 2 pm; Saturday, January 3, 10 am – noon
