Creative Expressions Shaped by the Iconic Fallen Basswood Tree and the Ice Storm that Changed the Landscape. Art Exhibit Runs: September 25 - October 31, 2026

In the early morning hours of March 29–30, 2025, a beloved 150–200-year-old, 70-foot-tall Basswood tree fell during a devastating ice storm. Located at Bier Art Gallery and Pottery Studio, just south of Charlevoix in Norwood Township, the tree was a natural landmark—towering, graceful, and deeply rooted in the community.

SCENE Metrospace invites artists from across Michigan to submit work for Michigan Pride Juried Exhibition, a juried show celebrating the creativity, diversity, and voices artists from the LGBTQ+ community. The exhibition reception will kick off the East Lansing Pride weekend. 

Artists are  you interested in selling your artwork at Bayside Gallery in Sutton's Bay!

Artists are invited to submit work for "Art of the Vineyard," a multi-media exhibition dedicated to the beauty, culture, and craftsmanship of the wine world. Exhibit will coincide with Leland Wine & Food Festival.

Here:Say Storytelling is a Traverse City-based live storytelling show featuring true, first-person stories told on stage by performers of all backgrounds and experience level. We accept pitches for both regular-season shows and the occasional popup shows we produce on behalf of other organizations.

Our juried participating artists and craftspeople will create a unique shopping experience on the shores of Betsie Bay. Support your local artisans and take home a treasured, one-of-a-kind piece! The fair is free and open to the public from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Food, drinks, live music, and family-friendly activities will be on hand to round out the day of fun! Come early for our OAC Bloody Mary Bar!

This opportunity is open to artists working in any fine art medium and is open to 2D and 3D works. Artists must be a year-round OR summer resident of Northern Michigan in order to submit for consideration.
