Call for Art: Spring Art Exhibit - Unfolding
EXHIBITION
April 11 –May 26, 2025
The theme UNFOLDING invites artists to explore the multifaceted aspects of springtime – a season marked by rejuvenation, transformation, and hope. From realistic
portrayals of spring blooms to abstract expressions of nature’s revival, this exhibit will showcase a diverse array of mediums and styles that capture the essence of this beloved season. Member artists of BAC and interested creators alike are encouraged to participate, each contributing their unique interpretation of spring’s unfolding beauty and emotion.
DETAILS
◆ Size: 24" x 30" or smaller.
◆ Your artwork must be framed or on a 1.5" (or thicker) gallery canvas with edges neatly painted. All artwork must be gallery-wired (no sawtooth hangers).
◆ All work must be for sale.
◆ For non-members, BAC will receive 40% with 60% going to the artist. Current displaying artists under contract will receive a 70% - 30% split.
◆ The entry fee must accompany your application.
◆ Your entry fee entitles you to up to three entries for one fee.
◆ Entry fees:
‣$35 for non-members of BAC
‣$25 for BAC members
‣$15 for current BAC displaying artists
◆ Juror for the exhibit is Doug Melvin, retired head of the North Central Michigan College Art Department.
◆ Prizes:
‣$500 – First Place
‣$250 - Second Place
‣$100 – Third Place
DATES TO REMEMBER
◆ March 18 – Entry deadline. Submit artwork images of 1 jpeg each, and no larger than 2Mb
◆ April 17 – Accepted artwork delivered to the Boyne Arts Center
◆ May 27 – Pick-up unsold artwork from the Boyne Arts Center
