Latitude Chicago Artist in Residency - Applications open

We encourage artists who are interested in production, education, and tech experimentation to apply. No prior printing experience, art education, or media specificity is required, but we do require a level of professionalism and communication to support the artists’ success. On August 7th at 1pm CST, we will host a zoom that goes over the application and how to apply.

 

Application Includes:

  • General Artist Information (Name, Email, Phone Number)

  • Artist Demographic Information (Not Required)

  • Artist Bio (200-word limit)

  • Artist Statement (200-word limit)

  • Submission of 10 JPEG images of your work. (The 10 images should correlate to the work you're interested in creating at LATITUDE and does not need to be a single body of work.)

  • Lab Proposal (500 word limit): Explain how you will make use of the lab during your residency and how the residency will be beneficial for you.

  • Programming Proposal (500-word limit): Explain how you will engage with the Chicago arts community through your free public programming. This Public Program can include but is not limited to a workshop, panel discussion, performance, or something else in your wheelhouse. 

  • Professional References (2 references we can contact for recommendation if you are selected as a finalist)

International artists can apply, but LATITUDE does not have a travel or housing stipend as part of this residency at this time.
