Michigan Arts and Culture Council Announces FY 2025 Grant Awards

Traverse City, MI – September 20, 2024 – The Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC) has announced the recipients of its Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) grants. These awards will provide funding to support a wide range of arts and cultural organizations, programs, and projects across the state, including those in the ten counties of northwest lower Michigan served by Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network, the regional support agency for the sector.

In total, nearly $30-million was requested statewide, while around $10.5-million was awarded by MACC. Grants are provided for a variety of purposes, including general operations, project support, professional development, facility improvements, and arts education. The goal of MACC’s funding is to ensure every citizen and community enjoys the civic, economic and educational benefits of arts and culture.

In Northwest Michigan, numerous organizations received support through these grants, helping to sustain and enhance the region’s vibrant arts and culture scene. The awards will support projects that foster creative expression, preserve cultural heritage, and provide opportunities for community participation in the arts.
