Fiscal Sponsorships

Have a creative project that's ready to grow?

Many grants and tax-deductible donations require a nonprofit partner. Through fiscal sponsorship, the Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network helps eligible projects access those funding opportunities without forming a new nonprofit organization.

How We Can Help

Fiscal sponsorship is more than a financial arrangement—it's a partnership. We work alongside artists, culture bearers, and community leaders to provide financial oversight, administrative support, and guidance while helping advance projects that strengthen the arts and culture ecosystem in northwest Michigan.

Projects accepted into the program may benefit from:

  • Receiving tax-deductible donations
  • Applying for eligible grant opportunities
  • Administrative and financial oversight
  • Ongoing support from the Network throughout the project

A modest administrative fee helps cover these services.

Getting Started

Every project is unique, so we begin with a conversation. If you're interested in exploring fiscal sponsorship, we'd love to learn more about your project and discuss whether our program is a good fit.

Whenever possible, please contact us at least six weeks before any grant deadline.

Current Fiscal Sponsorship Projects
