Crosshatch Center for Art and Ecology is accepting applications for its Artist Emergency Fund. Thanks to a generous donor, Crosshatch is able to open up a new funding round. Applications are being accepted through 12/9 with decisions and funding distribution by 12/15. Crosshatch is part of the Upper Midwest Emergency Relief Fund Coalition
Funds are available to individual artists who earn at least 33% of their income from their art who have lost income due to COVID related cancellation and resitrictions, and live in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska or Leelanau couties. Artists can apply here — the application is short and simple. They ask that you have real need and meet the qualifying standards. Round 2 grant applications are being accepted for Minigrant Projects taking place March 1 – September 30, 2021. Deadline is 1/15/2020, 5pm, via mcaca.smartsimple.com. Requests accepted for funding up to $4,000 in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford counties. School Minigrants Open – Supplies, Equipment, Busses
Minigrants for are available for NW Michigan schools to cover costs for arts education supplies, equipment or bus costs for arts and cultural excursions during the current 2019-2020 school year. Requests up to $1,500 for suppplies/equipment and $500 for buses. Guidelines here and on the NW MI Arts & Culture website.
