Join staff and volunteers at Michigan Legacy Art Park in Thompsonville to celebrate the completion of its Pine Cone Forest Community Art Project on Thursday, 9/1, 10am-Noon. Open to all, refreshments will be served. There will also be opportunities to create additional pine cone trees to add to the forest. For more information, visit the MLAP website

NO September Roundtable

September’s Zoom Roundtable slated for 9/1 is CANCELLED due to the Labor Day weekend.

Please mark your calendars for 10/6 at 10am for the Network’s October Roundtable featuring a Skill Share with Brett Sinclair, Sonder DEI Network/Raven & Lotus, who will discuss Culture and Intercultural Fluency. Roundtables are open to all as a time to share updates, questions, events and connect with peers in the NW MI Arts & Culture Network.

MACC Announcements 9/16

Michigan Arts & Culture Council will be announcing grant awards for FY23 following approval at its quarterly Council meeting on 9/16, 1-3pm at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum in Portage. Awards will be posted on the MACC website following the meeting. (scroll to bottom of page)  

Minigrant award announcements are not posted on 9/16 and will be made via email to applicants by 9/19.

Call: Charlevoix Circle mARkeT

Charlevoix Circle of Arts has an open call for local Michigan artists and makers. Annual holiday gift market in CCA’s open gallery space is a 6 week-long opportunity for artists to sell and replenish their work/ handmade gift items. 2022 mARkeT Dates: November 18 – December 30, 2022.
