Minigrant Benefits McLaren, MI Artists McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation just posted this photo on Facebook thanking donors, including the Network for its MCACA minigrant which helped fund artwork for McLaren’s new hospital wing currently under construction. ” We are so excited for the opening of the new hospital wing later this summer. All of e pieces are coming together….. the new wing will feature all Michigan-made art! Framer, Bruce White, was recently here picking up some larger paintings to prepare them for installation. Thank you for helping us create a beautiful, healing environment for our patients.” (Art peeking out of box is work by Elk Rapids artist Lindy Bishop DIngeman, slated to hang in the new wing’s lobby) This was projectone of 20 MCACA minigrants the Network awarded during the past year. NEA ARP Grants, Webinar The NEA just announced American Rescue Plan (ARP) Direct Grants to Arts and Culture Organizations Guidelines Application Deadline is Thursday, 8/12. Approximately $60 million will be available for grant amounts of $50,000, $100,00, or $150,000. Paint Grand Traverse Quick Paint Competition A Quick Paint is an exciting, two-hour competition for plein air painters working on location.
