Summit Resources Available, More Soon The 2021 NW MI Arts & Culture Virtual Summit was a great time to share tools, discussion, recommendations and time for networking. During the next few weeks, we will highlight some of the key discussions and to use the day as a springboard for future programs and as an ongoing resource. Mask Mandate Lifts for Vaccinated MDHHS is updating its Gatherings and Mask Order to align with the U.S. CDC latest guidance on face coverings for vaccinated individuals. The revised Gatherings and Face Mask Epidemic Order will be available on the Michigan Coronavirus website once it is publicly available (as of 4pm 5/14, it is not available). The order will take effect tomorrow, May 15 at 9 a.m. |

ARP Funding to Be Announced in June The NEA is getting ready to release their direct grants related to the ARP funding. Two sets of guidelines are expected to be available in June—one for arts organizations and one for local arts agencies officially designated to operate on behalf of their local government. Arts Community Focus Group NMC is currently engaging in its strategic planning process and inviting input. A virtual focus group with the arts community will be hosted by NMC and conducted by its strategic planning partner CampusWorks on Monday, May 24, 9:00-10:30am. Michigan Municipal League Foundation is offering $500 Neighborhood Microgrants and $5,000 Mainstreet Bridge Builder microgrants to encourage creativity and connection in communities and downtowns as we emerge from the pandemic. Deadline 5/31. Information here. |
