Network E-News 4/12/21

FROM THE SBA, 4/9: The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal remains temporarily suspended through the weekend of April 9 while we work to resolve technical issues. We can confirm we did not accept any applications or distribute any funding. When a reopening date is determined, we’ll provide updates in advance so that applicants have time to prepare. (Editors Note: Problems are continuing 4/12 am)

So many live venues and related businesses have been impacted by this pandemic and we want to ensure relief is delivered as quickly and equitably as possible. We appreciate your patience.

For more information about the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program, visit sba.gov/svogrant.

Artists Needed

The Downtown Traverse City Art Walk returns the first weekend of May with displays, demos, and pop-up activities by local artists, DTCA shops and the Network,  Crooked Tree-Traverse City, Dennos Museum Center and Arts for All of Northern Michigan.
NW MI Arts & Culture Network hopes to pair up to 10 visual artists with local businesses seeking to host them. Each artist will provide several works to display Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8, 4-7pm.  Artists are encouraged to be present both days or provide an artist statement. Artwork may be sold with no commission but we ask you keep it on display both days or replenish with other work.
