Shuttered Venues Portal Opens 4/8

Register for SBA 3/30 SVOG Webinar Today

 

The Small Business Administration announced 3/19 that the long-awaited Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) PORTAL will officially open on Thursday, 4/8/21. For those interested, please register immediately for the SBA’s national webinar on SVOG slated for Tuesday, 3/30,  2:30 – 4pm.  For additional SVOG info, link to this deep dive analysis by Proskauer for Americans for thte Arts

 

American Rescue Plan Recording Available

Americans for the Arts and the Arts Action Fund hosted a two-hour ArtsU webinar covering major components of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which included significant updates on SVOG, PPP, and more. Resources:

Traverse City Arts Commission announces a call for artists for its upcoming Union Mural project in Downtown Traverse City. Deadline 4/22/21. Installation June/July 2021. Details/application here. 

 

Theatre & Literary Arts Host Community Conversations, 3/25, 3pm

National Guild for Community Arts Education is hosting informal Community Conversations for those working in Theatre and/or Literary Arts on 3/24, 4/22, 5/20 and 6/17. Offered from a spirit of collaborative problem-solving, they remain virtual “water cooler” chats, an open-ended dialogue for constructive sharing and co-learning. Guild membership is not required. Impact 100 Traverse City opens its annual grant applications on 4/23 for its annual $100,000+ awards. Nonprofits in the five-county Grand Travere regiona are can apply in one of the five focus areas – including arts and culture. Interested in applying?

Artist Emergency Apps Due 3/31

Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology’s Artists Emergency Fund offers $500 emergency grants for gig artists impacted by COVID-19 in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska or Leelanau counties. Deadline is 3/31.

$1,500 School Equipment & Supplies Minigrants – Deadline 4/16 – Easy App

Help share with teachers. Michigan K-12 schools are eligible for grants of up to $1,500  for arts equipment (including repairs of arts equipment) or classroom arts supplies. Teachers in any arts discipline may apply. Rolling deadline, funds awarded on a reimbursement basis. Please share!
