Artist Emergency Fund Re-Opens Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology has new funding to re-open its Artists Emergency Fund applications. These are $500 emergency grants for gig artists impacted by COVID-19 who make at least 1/3 of their income from their art and live in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska or Leelanau counties.  | Thank you to all from northern Michigan who participated in the Cultural Advocacy Network of Michigan’s virtual legislative advocacy day on 3/12. Regional meetings were held with Sens. VanderWall & Schmidt, and Reps. Borton, Roth & O’Malley. Watch for further advocacy follow-ups, but one of the consistent takeaways – to keep in touch with our elected officials & staffs. Send invitations to events, news releases, attend coffee hours and keep them in the loop on the impact each of us is making in our work, as well as the significant challenges all have faced due to COVID.
