FY2022 Grant Awards – 10/22, 1pm

Great news! Now that the Governor has approved and signed the state budget, MCACA is excited to move forward with its FY22 funding process and grant awards announcement.  Please make plans to join us virtually via Zoom (information below) on Friday October 22 beginning at 1 pm.

Once council members have approved the proposed funding plan, MCACA will post a link to MCACA website (links will be located at the bottom of the home page) which will list grant awards by program and by county.  This link will be live within 2 hours of the close of the council meeting that day, as well as posted in the chat during the meeting.

Those organizations awarded an FY22 grant will receive a formal contract emailed to them via the SmartSimple system after the Oct 22 council meeting announcing their grant award and next steps. NOTE: MINIGRANTS will NOT be posted on the MCACA site but will be notified via email from NW MI Arts & Culture Network by 10/23 along with the formal contract.

MCACA Launches Community Partners Grants, Due 11/1

MCACA is happy to announce a new grant opportunity in partnership with Arts Midwest. The Community Partners Grant program is a competitive grant program to strengthen communities by encouraging them to work collaboratively with artists and culture bearers to explore local issues, where collaborative art-making is integral to daily lives and is valued as a tool for community development. Grants from $10,000 to $20,000 are available for qualifying applications.

Eligible organizations include: 501c3 non-profit organization, college/university, unit of government or tribal entity. The eligible 501c3 non profit organization, college/university or unit of government represents the project partnership — coordinating planning efforts, submitting the grant application, acting as fiduciary agent and assuming full project responsibility.

The deadline to apply for the Community Partners Grant is November 1, 2021, for projects taking place between January 1, – June 15, 2022. Find the complete grant guidelines on our website, here.
