Elk Rapids Arts & Artists thru 6/11

Elk Rapids is celebrating arts and artists through this weekend during Art Beat with Twisted Fish, Blue Heron and  Mullaly’s 128 Galleries. For over 10 years these collaborative galleries have hosted a bi-annual gallery tour each June & October. The eight day events urges all to visit each gallery as often as desired, get “stamped” at each visit and then enter your stamps into a drawing for a $100 Gift Certificate. Meet local artists, see demonstrations, bring family & friends and explore the best that Elk Rapids offers in a myriad of art forms. And, don’t forget to visit Art Rapids’ Walk of Art as part our the tour. Runs through June 11. Art Beat Info hereWalk of Art info here

Applications are open through 8/3 for:

  • Arts & Culture Projects (up to $4,000)
  • Professional & Organizational Development (up to $1,500)
  • School Equipment & Supplies (up to $1,500)
  • School Bus Transportation for Arts & Culture Field Trips ($500)

Microgrants Open 6/13

Bridge Builders Microgrants opens 6/13 thru 7/10 with small, one-time grants to people or organizations within Michigan Municipal League member communities. Projects are intentionally collaborative, bringing together neighbors, artists, business owners, elected officials, and more. More info here
