MCACA Minigrant deadline for arts and cultural projects and professional and organizational development (POD) is this coming Monday, August 3 at 5:00 pm. Please remember that MCACA is transitioning to a completely new application system - SmartSimple. You will NOT use the old mcaca.egrant.net to apply. You must register at mcaca.smartsimple.com as an organization and also with your individual profile along with your minigrant application(s). The information requested is basically the same but the platform is new. Please allow adequate time to register and submit. Spring 2020 would have marked the 5th annual NW Michigan Arts & Culture Summit, a day of networking, learning and exploring opportunities at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Unfortunately, the May 2020 summit was cancelled due to the pandemic. .
As COVID-19 continues to impact all of us and our programs, please help the Network re-envision how we present and plan future Summits as well as workshops, best practice roundtables or other gatherings - virtual or in person - during the year ahead. COVID-19 Workplace Safety Grants
With employers across the state working to keep their employees, customers and communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the State of Michigan has launched the Michigan COVID-19 Safety Grant Program. These grants will provide small businesses (including nonprofits) matching funds of up to $10,000 to decrease the risk of COVID-19 spread through the purchase of safety and health-related equipment and training in response to COVID-19. New Michigan Restart Grants
The Michigan Strategic Fund is offering new CARES funding grants for Michigan-based nonprofits and small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The Michigan Small Business Restart Grants can be used for capital expenses to support payroll, rent, mortgage payments, utilities, reopening costs and similar expenses directly related to COVID-19 impacts. Applicants must have fewer than 50 employees and did NOT received a prior Michigan Small Business Relief Program (MSBRP) grant. COVID-19 Crisis Support Team Pro Bono Consultations
Organizations in the Grand Traverse and Little Traverse regions can request one-hour phone/video consultation from COVID-19 Crisis Support Teams from Rotary Charities of Traverse City and the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Community Foundation. Artist Relief Fund
Grants up to $5,000. US-based artists facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19 are encouraged to apply. Fund will operate through September.

Crosshatch Artist Emergency Fund
Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology has raised and distributed over $25,000 in emergency aid to artists in Northwest Lower Michigan. There continues to be significant need. Crosshatch continues accepting donations to the fund and applications for $500 grants to inidvidual artists to cover emergency expenses resulting from the COVID-19 impacts.
