Daniel Stewart

Daniel Stewart is a writer, historian and storyteller living near in Omena, Michigan. He teaches and coaches writers of personal writing, including essays and memoir; is a regular storyteller for Here:Say Storytelling; was a producer for WNMC’s weekly “Radio Anyway”; worked for a decade as an IT administrator; and is a current board member (and past president) of Michigan Writers, Inc. He has a Ph.D. in American cultural history from Temple University, trained in audio interviewing and long-form journalism at the Salt Center for Documentary Studies, and received his undergraduate degree, focused on writing from a cross-cultural perspective, from Hampshire College. He lives on an old farmstead in Leelanau County with his wife and a number of animals, some of them invited.
