Check out multidisciplinary days, free museum days, gatherings and readings throughout the Network. Including:
Building Bridges With Music and the City Opera House are sponsoring Remembering MLK: An Evening of Music, Prose and Dance, a free ticketed event at the Opera House on 1/16 at 7pm..The event will also be streamed. Presented by Building Bridges with Music, artists feature nationally renowned soul jazz vocalist Joan Belgrave and R&B singer Mark Scott, spoken word artist Joel Fluent Greene, and The Lisa McCall Dancers. Also appearing are Traverse City’s Canticum Novum vocal ensemble under the direction of Jeffrey Cobb, Joe Wilson on dobro, and Kevin LaRose on tuba. Northwestern Michigan College is kicking off the Embrace the Dream.series. Admission to the Dennos Museum Center will be free 1/16. All NMC Embrace the Dream Programs can be found here. In addition to the free day, DMC will host the Disrupt & Dismantle Series from the Smithsonian Channel, and host two related exhibitions. More info here.
