Winter Care: Daily Rituals and Kitchen Herbalism for Surviving the Winter Months

Winter can be a magical but also challenging season to get through. Embracing this colder, darker season is possible, and folk traditions that sustain us through the winter have existed throughout human history. In this class we will explore ways to care for ourselves through approachable and nourishing daily rituals with movement, herbs, and breathwork. Students will leave with a few small herbal goodies, and the skills to care for ourselves and our communities throughout the winter.

Itinerary: In the morning, we will focus on building short yoga routines for energizing the body, keeping the lymphatic system flowing, and ways to incorporate joyful movement in your day-to-day. We’ll have a break for lunch before returning to explore breathwork exercises that energize and regulate the nervous system, clearing stagnant energy. Then, we’ll dive into herbs & other daily rituals to support the lymphatic system, seasonal affective disorder, and balancing your individual constitution through the winter months.
