The Human Voice - A One Act Play in the Bohemian Social Club

51/50 Productions will bring Jean Cocteau's poignant one-act play, "The Human Voice" (La Voix Humaine), to life in an immersive performance at the Traverse City Opera House. This production marks the debut performance in the Opera House's newly renovated Bohemian Room, an intimate space that will enhance the audience's experience. Seating is strictly limited to 20 guests per performance.

Directed by Andrew McGinn, Instructor of Theater at Interlochen Arts Academy, "The Human Voice" transports audiences back to the 1930s, eavesdropping on a woman's final phone call with her former lover. First staged at the French Comedy Festival in 1930, Cocteau's timeless play explores the raw and complex emotions of saying goodbye, resonating with audiences across generations.

This immersive performance, combined with the intimate setting of the Bohemian Room, promises a unique and emotionally charged theatrical experience. Audiences will be drawn into the woman's world as she navigates the delicate balance of love, loss, and acceptance.
