the EKPHRASTIC Author Readings

Join us for an inspiring evening as we host a special reading for Ekphrastic 2, an exhibit that celebrates the connection between visual art and the written word. Sixteen artists have shared their artwork, and local writers have responded with poetry, short stories, and reflections inspired by the pieces on display.

During the event, attendees will experience both the visual and written works — and hear writers read their words aloud in the gallery space where the art lives. This interactive evening invites you to listen, reflect, and perhaps be inspired to write something of your own.

Ekphrastic (from ekphrasis, meaning “a literary description or commentary on a visual work of art”) beautifully merges two forms of creative expression — art and writing — into one shared experience.
