Etching and Letter Press Workshop

Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 26th from 11-3 pm to learn how to use an Etching and a Letter Press in the studio of Glen and Cindy McCune, Yellow Dog Gallery 09017 Ferry Rd., East Jordan, Mi. 49727  glenmccuneart@gmail.com

This unique workshop will offer the opportunity to make multiples of your own works of art! 

You will create your own printing plate.

Bring your sketchbook with ideas for a plate.

Using your own design, you will draw it onto a plate then scratch the lines into it.

Once the lines are “etched” into the plate, ink will be rubbed into them. 

A damp piece of paper will be placed on it and run through the Etching Press.  

For the Letter Press, you will create your design, transfer it onto a piece of linoleum or wood and carve it. This plate is will be placed on the Letter Press and you will feed paper as the press inks it. 

Bring a sketchbook, pencil, and a snack. 

Workshop fee $60 JRAC Member, Non Member - $80
