Coffee @ Ten: Scuba Diving the Tip of the Mitt

Join scuba diver and photographer, Scott Smith, on a journey beneath the surfaces of lakes and rivers in Northern Michigan.

Scott earned his Biology degree from the University of Michigan and his Masters in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. After teaching environmental education for two years with SEE-North (Science & Environmental Education -North), he spent the next 27 years in the classroom as Boyne City's 7th grade science teacher. Since 2018, Scott has logged over 500 dives in the lakes and rivers of Northern Michigan. Despite this, he feels like he has only scratched the surface of what there is to be seen underwater.
