Author Event: Reading, Q&A, and Signing with Ann Goethals
The Folded Leaf is pleased to announce a special, free author reading and Q&A event featuring debut novelist Ann Goethals to celebrate her new book, The Doublewide.
Ann Goethals will read from The Doublewide, her first novel, which tells the story of Candy Schein, an LPN working in a nursing home who has spent her life turning away from the world. Her life changes when she finds a dented, oversized, discounted blue doublewide—a "perfect fit". The book is described as a love story about a home, about making a life, and, to Candy's surprise, about a man.
The reading will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Kate Ward, a reporter at The Leelanau Enterprise.
About the Author Ann Goethals is a retired high school English teacher who set aside her own writing for three decades to mentor her students. She now focuses on her writing and is already busy working on a sequel to The Doublewide. She divides her time between Northern Michigan and Chicago. More information can be found at anngoethals.com.
