Artist-In-Residence Talk: Michael Fischer

The Glen Arbor Arts Center continues its 2024 artist residencies with Illinois writer Michael Fischer. Fischer, who works in creative nonfiction, will work on an essay focused on ecological themes. Fischer will talk about his project during a public presentation September 19, 10 am. The presentation is free. “The essay I’m working on uses the water cycle, water use, and water pollution as proxies for environmental degradation more broadly,” Fischer said. “The residency’s location near Sleeping Bear Bay, Glen Lake, Crystal River and other watersheds offers an ideal ecological background for me to complete my current project.”
