Grammy-nominated jazz pianist and R&B singer Patrice Rushen joins Interlochen Arts Academy’s singer-songwriter and jazz combo students for an unforgettable evening of music! Best known for her 1982 single “Forget Me Nots,” the ASCAP Songwriter’s Award winner has performed alongside musical luminaries such as Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, and Prince and is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest jazz pianists. Also a passionate educator, Rushen serves as an ambassador for artistry in education for Berklee College of Music and is the chair of the popular music program at USC Thornton School of Music.
