Harbor Springs Area Historical Society

The Harbor Springs History Museum is located in the former city hall building on Main Street. Our exhibits document the unique history of the area. Leading a journey beginning with the first residents, the Odawa Indians, the exhibits escort visitors through time, stopping to visit with missionaries, homesteaders, loggers, downtown merchants, and resorters. Our mission is to preserve, interpret and share the history of the Harbor Springs area, while encouraging curiosity and promoting an understanding of how the lessons of the past can foster an informed community.

Admission is by donation.
We offer free on-site and street parking.
