Community, Creative Sector Input Needed for New Network Surveys
The Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network is planning its future and is seeking input from community members and stakeholders along with artists, culture bearers, arts and cultural organizations and all who drive creative work in the ten counties of northwest lower Michigan. The Network launched two online surveys that will remain open until early June. Participation is open to all interested community member and those working in the creative sector through the following links:
- NW MI Arts & Culture Network Community Survey:Â https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2N9NRGQ
- NW MI Arts & Culture Network Creative Sector Survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3VNVTZV
Survey results along with focus group feedback will help guide the Network’s planning as it scales up to better serve and advocate for arts, culture and the creative sector in northern Michigan. This is part of a year-long network development project funded in part by a seed grant from Rotary Charities of Traverse City. The Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network is the regional arts services agency serving the ten counties of northwest lower Michigan – Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford. It also serves as the regrant agency and regional partner for Michigan Arts and Culture Council. Its mission is to harness the collective power of the creative sector to cultivate vibrant communities by strengthening the regional ecosystem that supports arts and culture. The Network does this by connecting individual artists, arts & cultural organizations and community projects throughout the region with resources and opportunities to collaborate, learn, promote, advocate, access funding, strengthen capacity and build engagement.
